The inaugural Cycling Electric magazine Demo Day will take place on Sunday, April 28th, at the Lee Valley VeloPark in London.
The closed-circuit event will give those considering buying an electric bike the chance to ride on tarmacked surfaces, away from traffic, enabling test riders to properly experience each bike’s characteristics, as well as learn about each bike’s functionality from each brand’s representatives.
On the day riders will be able to test-ride electric bikes from a plethora of premium and affordable manufacturers servicing segments ranging electric bikes for commuters, products for enjoying leisure time with the family, and even try out the latest cargo bikes capable of replacing the second car.
Mark Sutton, Cycling Electric editor, said: “There’s little doubting that the test ride plays an incredibly important role in the buying process when it comes to choosing the right electric bike for your needs and what better place to experience your next steed than Lee Valley’s closed circuit VeloPark?
“I’ve seen time and time again the difference a demo can make in helping people understand first of all how e-bikes ride and secondly how they hold enormous potential to change the way we move day to day. I’m looking forward to helping our visitors find their next bike on the 28th of April.”
Among those brands confirmed to have fleets ready to ride are British e-bike designers Estarli, whose bikes have consistently performed well in reviews.
Attendees will also find affordable e-bike options from EBCO, Ridgeback, Ribble Cycles, and Tenways, as well as premium, highly customisable, bikes from Velo de Ville.
For potential customers not quite ready to commit to buying their own e-bike, electric bike subscription service provider Blike will also be exhibiting, with a fleet of its various bikes.
Adrian Hogan, sales director for Cycling Electric, added: “Having organised over twenty Cyclist Track Day events, we’ve seen how impactful demos can be in driving bike sales.
