Job Description
We are searching for an enthusiastic E-Commerce / Digital Marketing Assistant to join our team at Billy Bilsland Cycles in Saltmarket, Glasgow. In this position you’ll play a vital role in powering our online and in-store business, supporting our growth, and creating meaningful connections with our customers
About Us:
We're an independent Glasgow bike shop, proudly serving cycling enthusiasts across Scotland and the UK since 1980. As a family-owned business with deep local roots, we specialise in road and gravel bikes while offering a diverse range of mountain bikes, e-bikes, hybrids, and children's bikes from renowned brands like Pinarello, Cervelo, Cannondale, Scott, Whyte, Marin and Frog.
The Role:
Working 0900 - 1730, Monday to Friday, you will be joining our small dynamic team of passionate cyclists and will be helping to increase online and in-store sales, and helping develop and execute marketing strategies across all channels – in-store, online, social media, and traditional media – to promote our brand and products.
Product Management:We need someone with a keen eye for detail to help manage our online product listings. You'll ensure accuracy, optimise product information for search engines, and create a compelling online shopping experience
Marketing Magic:Unleash your creativity to help us reach more customers. You'll contribute to a variety of marketing initiatives, including social media content creation and email campaigns, to strengthen our brand and product reach, and drive sales.
Data Analysis:Use your analytical skills to help us make better decisions. You'll maintain accurate product information and analyse data to identify trends and opportunities that drive growth.
Skills/Experience Required
You're interested in cycling products and technologies
You have experience of e-commerce platforms and content management systems
You can generate insights from Google Analytics/Merchant Centre/Search Console data
You're a social media whizz, creating engaging content using reels, stories, posts
You have experience using MS Office and Google Workspace
You're a great communicator with the ability to craft unique copy
You're organised and hard working with a keen eye for detail
